Directions by Land

From D.C. Beltway (Western Side): Take Route 5 South through Waldorf and Hughesville. Route 5 will split off from Route 235 to the right just below Mechanicsville. Follow Route 5 through Leonardtown about 9 miles to the intersection with Route 249 at Callaway. There is a traffic light and a Texaco Gas Station on the right. Turn right onto Route 249 and proceed approximately 4 ½ miles to the Marina entrance on the right.

From Northern Virginia: Cross Woodrow Wilson Bridge and proceed around the Capital Beltway to Route 5 South. Take Route 5 South through Waldorf and Hughesville. Route 5 will split off from Route 235 to the right just below Mechanicsville. Follow Route 5 through Leonardtown about 9 miles to the intersection with Route 249 at Callaway. There is a traffic light and a Texaco Gas Station on the right. Turn right onto Route 249 and proceed approximately 4 ½ miles to the Marina entrance on the right.

From D.C. Beltway (Eastern Side): Take Route 4 South to Solomon's Island. Continue on Route 4 South across the bridge. Continue straight through the traffic light at the intersection of Route 235 about 6 miles until Route 4 dead ends into Route 5. Turn left to travel south on Route 5 for approximately 8 miles to the intersection with Route 249 at Callaway. There is a traffic light and a Texaco Gas Station on the right. Turn right onto Route 249 and proceed approximately 4 ½ miles to the Marina entrance on the right.

From Baltimore/Annapolis Area: Take Route 2 South toward Solomon's Island. Route 2 joins Route 4 at Sunderland. Continue on Route 2/4 South to Solomon's Island. Continue on Route 4 South across the bridge. Continue straight through the traffic light at the intersection of Route 235 about 6 miles until Route 4 dead ends into Route 5. Turn left to travel south on Route 5 for approximately 8 miles to the intersection with Route 249 at Callaway. There is a traffic light and a Texaco Gas Station on the right. Turn right onto Route 249 and proceed approximately 4 ½ miles to the Marina entrance on the right.

From Lower Virginia and points South: Travel on Route 301 North and cross the bridge. Approximately 6 miles after the bridge, turn right onto Route 234 (Bud's Creek Road). Continue approximately 12 ½ miles to the intersection with Route 5 South. Merge onto Route 5 South and continue through Leonardtown about 9 miles to the intersection with Route 249 at Callaway. There is a traffic light and a Texaco Gas Station on the right. Turn right onto Route 249 and proceed approximately 4 ½ miles to the Marina entrance on the right.

Directions by Water

We monitor Channel 16. Cedar Cove Marina is located 1 mile from the Potomac River at the head waters of Herring Creek. Stay in the middle of the channel; the depth should be about 7-8 feet. When you see the marina, keep the entrance piling off your starboard bow and proceed to the gas dock to tie up.
